Application: Accepted. And the future of this blog

Looks like it's time for another blog update. So, after about four hours of waiting for the Study Abroad website to finally regain some consciousness I was finally able to look at the status of my application. As the title suggests at the very bottom there was a small section that simply said "Status: Accepted" So it looks like this is it, all that's left is a few more forms, clicking the big "COMMIT" button and oh yeah, a plane ticket. Freiburg inches closer and closer everyday and this was just another step that made me want to go even more. The day I have those tickets in my hand is going to be amazing.

In regards to the future of this blog, I've decided that I'm going to cover as many interesting bases as I can. Everything from food to travel, to history, to people. I want to learn everything I can and assimilate into the German culture. I'm going to master the language and get the most out of this whole thing.

So after all is said and done this blog should be great, at least for me. Documenting my experience abroad has been a goal since I first thought of traveling back in high school. It's all come down to this and when the day comes that I am finally going I can't imagine the feeling of looking back and simply saying:

"Tschüss Amerika!"
