Another year in the books

Flag of Freiburg im Breisgau
Looks like sophomore year is over, the weather is finally nice after weeks of strange, random, cold and rainy days. Finals are done and I've taken my last UMass class for 14 months. Freiburg application is in and now all that's left if buying some plane tickets, then the real fun can finally start. It's pretty unreal how all of this is finally coming to fruition. It's been a long couple of months and I'm glad that it turned out as well as it did.

So, plans for the future, here are a few important dates coming up:

First and probably most important is September 1st, the day I head out for Deutschland. I'll most likely go to Frankfurt and travel by train to Freiburg where I'll go to my apartment. Good god I can't wait for that day

Another date that has some relevance: September 30-October 2nd, Black forest mountain retreat with UMass students from IPO. Its a neat little treat from the IPO office, paid hotel room, paid travel expenses, works for me, perhaps a large photo taking opportunity on that one.

Well, from here on in it looks like I'll just start counting the days down to the big one. Summer is probably going to fly by which may or may not be a good thing. I want to take the summer to learn a bit more photography techniques and such since I really want to incorporate a lot of photos into this blog seeing as many friends and family are relying on this blog to update them about my time in Germany.

So until the big September 1st I doubt there will be much to blog about aside from the plane tickets whenever I get them.

One last thing. I really, really, really, have to learn how the Freiburg tram system works...

Oh, crap. All I know is that I get off at that little rounded part by the yellow on the left...
